Montessori Mantra Teachers’ Training College is proud to offer a comprehensive Montessori Early Childhood Diploma Course for adults who aspire to become Montessori teachers for children between the ages of two and a half to six years old. Our in-person training is designed to provide aspiring Montessori educators with high-quality instruction and practical experience to become effective and successful educators.
Our Early Childhood Course is ideal for those currently working in a Montessori environment as assistants, those looking to change their career path, individuals interested in a career in early childhood education, and Registered Early Childhood Educators who want to explore Montessori pedagogy.

The Montessori Early Childhood Course will be delivered in person, with a required practicum of 500 hours in an approved Montessori classroom. The course will be held part-time, on Wednesday evenings and Saturdays, starting in January and concluding in November.

Course Requirements
Applicants must:
- be at least 18 years of age
- have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED, foreign credential assessment etc.)
- pass a literacy assessment administered by the College

Documents applicants must submit with their application:
- A current resume
- Transcript
- Two letters of reference: employer and personal
- Written Observation of a Montessori Classroom
- A current vulnerable sector screening
- Proof of immunizations and TB screening
- A recent passport photo
- Application processing fee
An interview will be arranged when the completed application package has been received. The applicant will complete the literacy assessment at the time of the interview.
Registration will be complete upon acceptance following the personal interview and successful literacy assessment.

At Montessori Mantra Teachers’ Training College, our goal is to provide students adult learners with the knowledge and skills necessary to become effective Montessori educators. Graduates of our program will gain a thorough understanding of the principles of Montessori education, including its focus on hands-on, experiential learning, child-centered education, and the importance of nurturing a child’s individual talents and interests.
Graduates will know how to implement the Montessori philosophy and methodology in a classroom with children two and one half to six years of age.
Through our immersive, in-person instruction and small cohort sizes, graduates of our program will be equipped with the practical knowledge and experience needed to implement the Montessori philosophy and methodology in a classroom with children aged two and a half to six years old. Our program emphasizes the importance of developing a supportive and engaging learning environment, where children can thrive and develop a lifelong love of learning.
Graduates will understand the importance of their own spiritual development and growth as a Montessori guide.
In addition to gaining practical skills and knowledge, our Montessori Early Childhood Diploma Course also emphasizes the importance of personal spiritual development and growth as a Montessori guide. Graduates of our program will understand the importance of their own personal and spiritual development, as well as their role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for young children. By combining practical knowledge, hands-on experience, and a focus on personal growth, our Montessori Early Childhood Diploma Course prepares graduates to become effective, compassionate, and dedicated Montessori educators.
